Program Details

University of Central Arkansas offers an online Master of Science in Education in Special Education degree. Students will be prepared for working with special needs students and impacting their lives by providing appropriate services. On-campus visits are required with this degree, enabling students to enhance their online education.


  • Requires one face-to-face session to take comprehensive exams
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
  • Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work
  • Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.7 (4.0 scale) OR at least a 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate study
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on any graduate course work taken at another accredited institution
  • GRE or GMAT test scores, if applicable
  • Arkansas valid standard educator license or gain approval through the department
