Program Details

The Master of Advanced Study in Criminology, Law & Society is an online criminal justice degree from the University of California-Irvine. This program is designed for individuals interested in leadership positions in such fields as corrections, law enforcement, social services, probation/parole, and other public administrative roles. Students will complete all but one course online, allowing those with work and family commitments to still complete this program through distance learning. The curriculum examines crime and deviance, punishment and social control, law creation, law enforcement, major theories and philosophies of law, and more. You will examine how current issues relate to criminal justice and explore such contemporary areas as cybersecurity and cybercrime, immigration, hate crime and more as you develop skills in leadership and research.
