Program Details

The online Master of Engineering in Sustainable Smart Cities program provides an interdisciplinary grounding in the principles, application, and key technologies required to develop sustainable smart cities and is aimed at leaders and professionals in public and private sector organizations who seek to design, develop, and deliver smart and sustainable urban solutions.  The program features a broad curriculum covering sustainability theory, sustainable urban development, low carbon and renewable energy systems, green infrastructure, natural resource management, health and livability, transport and mobility, big data analytics, and smart technologies.  This genuinely international program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking to assess, design, and implement sustainable smart cities’ strategies across the globe and of the future.

  • A bachelor's degree from a recognized institution of higher education in an appropriate subject or related science, including but not limited to Urban Design and Planning, Political Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Public Health, Social Sciences, Criminal Justice, Information and Communication Technology, or Engineering
  • Related employment or substantial industrial experience with a demonstrable interest in or commitment to urban planning, sustainability and environmental management issues, and/or smart city approaches will also be considered
