Program Details

The online Master of Engineering in Advanced Safety Engineering & Management program provides students with advanced knowledge about risks in engineering and ways to minimize that risk and liability.  Graduates are working in over 165 companies, 20 government agencies, five military branches, and in higher education and the non-profit sector.  Courses may include:

  • Hazard Analysis & Waste Elimination
  • Leading through Climates of Change
  • Engineering Risk: Assessment, Reduction and Liability 
  • Policy Issues in Prevention through Design
  • Crisis Leadership and Safety-Critical Design

Requirements

  • Two recommendations
  • One Personal Essay
  • Resume/CV
  • Transcripts
  • An undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited school
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Undergraduate degree does not have to be in engineering
  • Experience in safety or a safety-related field
  • Those not satisfying the GPA requirement and/or holding a degree from a nationally accredited school may receive admission on a provisional basis subject to assessment and recommendation of the program director
