Program Details

The University of Alabama at Birmingham offers an online psychology degree, the Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  Courses in this flexible program are taught synchronously, asynchronously, and as a combination of the two, depending on the course and the professor.  Regardless of the course type, all students have access to UAB’s learning management system which offers tools to make course experiences more engaging, including virtual classroom lectures, multimedia, chat, and discussion boards.  This online psychology degree features a liberal arts foundation and a variety of experiences to provide an understanding of the basic principles and mechanisms of behavior in psychology.  The curriculum emphasizes the scientific method and research, with students creating new research and also applying research in community and treatment settings.  Students learn to apply psychological principles when solving individual and social problems.
