Program Details

The University at Buffalo offers an online counseling degree, the Advanced Certificate in Rehabilitation Counseling, for those interested in meeting the requirements for the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification or simply interested in the rehabilitation counseling field.  Each student will develop an individualized coursework plan with a faculty advisor to meet their specific academic goals.  You will gain the skills needed to work with the psychological, social, vocational, and educational problems of people disabled by physical, mental, emotional, or social conditions.  Topics covered include:

• Disability services
• Human relations/services
• Marriage and family therapy
• Psychometrics
• Special education
