Program Details

Union University offers a 16-month Master of Science in Nursing focusing on Nursing Education to prepare educators for a variety of roles. Graduates of this program can fulfill roles in staff development, patient education, and in schools and colleges.

The RN to MSN option allows Registered Nurses without a bachelor’s degree in nursing or with a bachelor’s degree in another field to directly pursue their MSN degree online. Core coursework prepares students for graduate-level studies in areas including anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and pathophysiology. A Nursing Education residency allows students to showcase their skills and knowledge and gain experience in a real-world environment.

Coursework in the master’s level of the online Nursing Education program includes:

  • Educational strategies in advanced nursing practice
  • Clinical strategies for nurse educators
