Program Details

The online MBA with a concentration in Accounting from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi prepares students for increased success and to play a larger role in their companies.  Students will also better understand accounting and taxes within a business.  The curriculum is comprised of core business knowledge in such areas as economics, operations management, and organizational behavior, along with a strong emphasis in Accounting.  Courses help students understand how accounting decisions and the regulatory environment impact business strategy and understand advanced auditing and assurance including fraud auditing, operational auditing, assurance services for IT and e-commerce, ethics, and legal liability.  You will learn to conduct forensic accounting investigations and detect and prevent occupational fraud, understand the basic principles of oil and gas accounting, and facilitate better communication between financial and non-financial employees.

Requirements

  • Regionally accredited bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Prerequisite courses, applicable for non-business undergraduate degree
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher in last 60 hours, 3.0 preferred
