The curriculum focuses on such topics as literacy acquisition, development, curriculum, instruction, assessment, community involvement, critical literacies, theoretical perspectives, and teacher education. Students take up their own research in the program and further their own interests and passions. Coursework includes literacy theory, research, practice, and policy.
