Program Details

The Psychology program at Southwestern Adventist University has a goal to provide a basic understanding of Christian psychological principles to students, so that they are able to succeed in a wide variety of careers involving working with people. There are a few different concentrations that students can choose from:

  • School guidance
  • Case management
  • General psychology
  • Marriage and family

Graduates find that this psychology program helps them prepare for careers in case management, probation, ministry, small business or corporate settings, or education.


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2.5 GPA or higher for freshman; cumulative 2.0 GPA for transfer students
  • Official transcripts
  • SAT or ACT test scores, if applicable
