The online M.P.A. from Seton Hall University provides the foundation students need to turn theory into practice as a leader or manager of non-profit or government organizations. Students will develop essential skills in social entrepreneurship, leadership and management, board staff relations, fundraising, volunteer management and grantsmanship. In addition, students develop practical management skills through a capstone practicum project or a research seminar. Students graduate ready to effect positive change and improve communities.
The online M.P.A. prepares graduates with the management skills and understanding of public administration they need for roles leading with purpose in non-profit management, government, social service, museums, higher education or healthcare. Representative roles this degree will prepare students for include executive director of a homeless shelter, program director for an NGO, business manager of a local municipality, chief of staff for a U.S. senator, city manager, budget analyst, social and community service manager and fundraising manager. To facilitate job placement, each student is paired with an alumni mentor who can provide career advice.
