Program Details

The Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a concentration in K-12 Leadership is an online degree that provides continuing education for teachers seeking initial administrative endorsement in preparation for positions as principal or assistant principal. The research-based Ph.D. will prepare you more specifically for a career in academia. The courses in this K-12 School Leadership program have been organized around the six Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) standards and the endorsement competencies for Administration and Supervision preK-12 as issued by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).


This program requires a residency component.
