Program Details

The online Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology program helps students develop the skills and knowledge they need to acquire, analyze, code, and protect electronic and traditional medical information vital to providing quality patient care.  The curriculum is comprised of courses such as data analysis and management, coding, legal and regulatory standards, information technology, and revenue cycle which are vital to providing quality patient care and helping graduates advance their careers.  The program promotes professional development and supports the Code of Ethics of the American Health Information Management Association.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of admission
  • Applicants must provide proof of high school graduation or GED or an official transcript with at least 60 hours of undergraduate level study
