The online Doctor of Acupuncture program bridges the gap between the master’s degree and the entry-level doctorate, strengthening the acupuncturist’s ability to be a successful part of our integrative healthcare system. The curriculum uses an approach that enriches the acupuncturists’ understanding of both biomedicine and Chinese medicine and increases their confidence as members of the integrative, multi-disciplinary team.
- Completion of a qualifying master’s degree
- Must demonstrate at least 730 or 940 hours of clinic training (MSAc, MSTOM, respectively). Applicants with fewer hours may demonstrate up to 60 hours of continuing clinical education via appropriate CEUs.
- Proof of experience in the form of state licensure, NCCAOM certification or a documented acupuncture practice
- Completion of 90 semester units/135 quarter units of undergraduate coursework from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or international equivalent
