Program Details

The online Career Studies Certificate in Accounting is intended to prepare you to sit for the CPA exam, specifically meeting the course requirements for the Virginia Board for Accountancy. First, students must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, and have required accounting course prerequisites.

Students will have the opportunity to to pursue studies in a number of specific accounting courses, including but not limited to:

• Cost accounting
• Federal taxation
• Governmental and not-for-profit accounting

This certificate program can be completed in as little as two semesters. Students will have access to a number of online resources, including tech support, library resources and tutoring services.
