Program Details

The online Technical Diploma in Medical Coding program prepares students for employment in all types of health care organizations, insurance companies, or government agencies associated with medical coding, reimbursement, health services research, and health care planning.  Credits can be applied to the Health Information Technology associate degree.  Courses include Medical Terminology, Foundations of HIM, Human Diseases for Health Professionals, ICD Diagnosis Coding, and Healthcare Reimbursement.

Requirements

  • High school transcript or equivalent
  • Accuplacer or ACT scores
  • Two semesters in high school, or one semester in college of Biology, or equivalent, with a grade of "C" or better
