Depression, loneliness and anxiety are heightened in the elderly.  As such, the counseling needs of this population are unique and require specialized attention.  With NCU’s online PhD in Psychology for Gerontology, you’ll gain the in-depth knowledge to evaluate, implement and maintain successful counseling programs for this demographic.  The leadership, research and critical analysis skills you acquire in this program will prepare you for senior positions in education, public or private industry.  This highly professional curriculum involves a practicum, internship and dissertation.  Specialized coursework is likely to include:
