Program Details

The online MBA from Mount Mercy University offers a concentration in Human Resources (HR) for students who want to advance their careers while working with a business’s most important asset, its people.  The curriculum consists of core MBA courses that prepare students for leadership and management positions and HR elective courses.  The HR courses help students gain knowledge and skills in talent development, employment law, the total rewards systems, coaching skills for leaders, project management, and labor economics while allowing them to choose the courses they wish to take in HR so that their career goals are met.

Students will also complete MBA courses that emphasize ethical and socially responsible leadership and help students think globally and strategically while using a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving.  Graduates are able to interpret data and employ quantitative methods to evaluate organizations in economic terms, differentiate between effective and dysfunctional team behaviors, and make strategic decisions using a systematic approach.
