This program features a broad education in the foundations of business and successful management techniques. Students will learn how to effectively organize, and manage teams and projects. Students will also learn the basics of business accounting, to allow them to easily create budget plans and use cost vs. risk analytical methods.

Examples of classes include Intro to MS Office, Communication Skills, and Small Business Management. This is a technical diploma, not an undergraduate program. It is most useful if gained before entering into employment as a way to gain the skills to secure a new position at the organization the graduate is currently employed at. The diploma can also be used as an add-on to an existing undergraduate degree.

Milwaukee Area Technical College is a public, two-year institution of higher education, located in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. MATC was founded in 1912 as the Continuation School after Charles McCarthy asked State Legislature to pass a law creating a statewide network of continuation schools. Today, MATC offers classes at campuses in downtown Milwaukee, Oak Creek, West Allis, and Mequon. The Mequon Campus features the largest wind turbine on a college campus in the state.
Milwaukee Area Technical College offers degree, diploma, certificate and apprentice programs. Many students who attend MATC plan to earn a bachelor’s degree by transferring to a four-year college. Accelerated programs are offered for full-time working adults, as well as online programs for degrees, diplomas, and certificates from all of MATC's schools.
