Strategic Human Resource Management Master Certificate
Students who wish to improve their human resource management skills may be interested in earning Michigan State University’s Strategic Human Resource Management master certificate. Participants in this program will become aware of the important skills involved in effective HR management and how it can strengthen a company and its workforce.
This program consists of four eight-week courses. The first three are mandatory, and the fourth is a chosen elective. The three required courses are Human Resource Management, Compensation & Reward Management, and Workforce Management & Development. Students will then choose one elective course from the following list: Strategic Leadership, Strategic Decision Making, Strategic Management, Strategic Negotiation, Team Effectiveness & Development, Strategic Change Leadership, Global Business Strategy, Cross Cultural Management. After successfully completing this course, students will receive a master certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management.
After completing these 14 Continuing Education Units (3.5 CEUs per course), students will understand how to hire individuals that will support the company, offer proper benefits and compensation, maintain a positive relationship with employees and coworkers, and design and implement training programs to give your work place a competitive edge.
