Program Details

Methodist University’s online Master of Science in Nursing: Administrative Leadership degree provides a flexible pathway for professional advancement. A BSN degree is required for admission. This 36-credit program is designed to be completed in two years, giving you advanced knowledge and skills to guide clinical decision-making and promote person-centered care.

Courses are delivered in a flexible, asynchronous format so you can complete your degree while continuing to work full time. Transfer in up to nine credits of previously earned graduate coursework to accelerate your studies. Topics include data analysis, advanced informatics and health care technologies, health policy, global health, and more.

As a student, you will complete a total of 500 clinical hours distributed over five courses. Nine semester hours can also count as dual credit toward completion of our Nursing Education Certificate, allowing you to fast-track an additional credential and expand your professional opportunities. Our faculty of nursing experts will oversee all coursework and clinical experiences to provide support and mentorship throughout your program.

Graduates of this program are qualified to pursue nursing leadership positions in a variety of health care and academic settings. Possible roles include unit manager, chief nursing officer, and medical and health services administrator.
