Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program is designed for students who want to advance their future or current careers in criminal justice, or for those who want to continue their educations at the doctoral level.  The curriculum covers a wide variety of topics but allows students to choose which area they would like to focus on or allows them to gain a variety of experience in several areas.  Graduates have knowledge in areas including:

  • Crime
  • Criminal Activity Patterns
  • Criminal Justice Process
  • Research Methods
  • Ethical Decision-Making

Requirements

  • Official transcripts from each college or university attended
  • A current vita or resume
  • 3.0 GPA on a four-point scale in undergraduate studies
  • Statement of Purpose describing interests and goals in criminal justice as a career and why the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice at McKendree University would be helpful in achieving these goals
  • Recommendation forms completed by three former instructors and/or professional references who can attest to the applicant’s ability to pursue graduate work
