McHenry College's Associate program in Business Management teaches students a mixture of management-specific and general business skills to prepare them for a variety of career paths. Graduates of the Management program can expect to be qualified to work in entry- and mid-level management positions such as office manager, department manager, human resources manager, sales manager, and store manager. Management opportunities are available in a wide range of arenas: health, banking, trade, manufacturing, telecommunications, government, retail, service, non-profit, e-business, and social marketing. Business managers are crucial to the success or failure of a company through decisions they make regarding personnel, equipment, finances, materials, advertising, marketing and sales. Management is a continuously growing field, and skilled managers are always in high demand.
This program is ideal for both young professionals looking to get into the field for the first time and experienced managers looking to fine-tune their skills. Students utilize business simulations in order to learn how to run a company and compete in the marketplace. Upon completion of this program, students will have considerable abilities in three vital areas: decision-making, problem-solving and human relations. Coursework consists of 61 total degree credit hours. Twenty-seven of those hours come in management core classes, nineteen are in business core classes, with the remaining fifteen in general education.

McHenry County College is a two-year public school located in Crystal Lake, Illinois. MCC was established in 1967 as part of the Illinois Community College system and serves most of McHenry County as well as portions of surrounding counties. MCC’s main campus is located in Crystal Lake and the school has several other satellite campuses.
McHenry County College offers certificates of completion and associate’s degrees in twenty different programs and disciplines. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, and weekend. Students can make the most of scheduling flexibility by combining online courses, self-paced online courses and blended with on-campus courses to pursue degrees or certificates.
