Master of Education in Educational Leadership

Program Details

LSU offers the online M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. This program expands on your classroom teaching experience to develop the skills needed to build and nurture continuous school improvement through high-achieving learning communities that respect all school community members. These courses teach you advanced management and leadership skills. You will also gain hands-on experience through part-time internships and authentic activities in vital aspects of the administrative role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the equivalent from a foreign institution
  • GPA of at least 3.00 on all undergraduate work (or last half-degree requirement) and a 3.00 GPA or better on any graduate work already completed
  • Official current GRE score
  • Valid Louisiana Type B or Level 2 teaching certificate or comparable level out-of-state teaching certificate
  • Current employment at a school or district
  • At least two years of teaching experience in your area of certification
  • Evidence of leadership potential
  • Nomination Letter
  • One letter of recommendation
