Lindenwood University offers an online MPA degree in Public Administration. This professional graduate program at Lindenwood University helps students prepare for careers such as managers in the executive arm of the government.
Students will have the opportunity to serve as managers in government positions at the local, state or national/federal level after completing the program. The MPA also helps students interested in employment at an international organization or agency. Also, the MPA in Public Administration at Lindenwood University is fully accredited by the higher learning commission.
The MPA degree is programmed to help educate students to utilize the required skills within government procedures. Public Administration education is a mix of business administration, human services and other core topics that are normally covered in public administration courses.
Normally, students interested in working at a pubic sector are required to learn skills that cannot be confined to a single discipline. Private sectors and public sectors do overlap; therefore, most public officials are required to have the skills of both in order to run organizations properly.
To complete the MPA program, students must take 36 credit hours of coursework. There are four MPA foundation courses that can be taken anytime that is convenient for the students. Each of the courses are nine credit hours, and they are all offered online. Students will have the opportunity to work with an advisor to help schedule the courses accordingly with their schedules. The MPA degree has a total 12 courses, which can all be completed in six sessions.
