Program Details

The Undergraduate Certificate in Information Assurance offered by Liberty University is available to students in a completely online format. This program aims to provide students with skills critical in the computer-networking environment. The curriculum offers courses in system security and training. These skills relate to the procedures necessary for protecting an organization’s information assets. Individuals interested in expanding their knowledge in network security, computer forensics and data protection are a good fit for this program.

The Information Assurance certificate for undergraduates requires students to complete 18 credit hours (six courses) in order to receive the certificate. The required courses include Enterprise Business Applications and Communications, Business Data Communication System, Networks, Network Security, Information Security Planning, and Cyber Security. These courses aim to prepare students with the basic knowledge of information assurance in order to equip them for possible career opportunities.
