The online Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics is designed to build on the already learned foundations from a Bachelors level of education while introducing students to the necessary competencies required when performing professionally in the medical field as students learn to gather, record, analyze, manage, and redistribute health and medical information.  The curriculum delves into the advanced understandings of management principles, health care delivery, public health, patient safety, information science, and computer technology.  Graduates are able to keep medical records within health organizations as well as educate and advise other staff on compliance, patient privacy, and information security procedures.
