Program Details

The online MS in Civil Engineering degree program from Kansas State University is designed for working professionals who already possess a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Students must travel to campus once at the end of their program for an oral examination.

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 GPA in the final two years or approximately the last 60 credit hours
  • The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required for students who hold a bachelor’s in civil engineering from an institution that is not ABET-accredited
  • Students with degrees in an engineering discipline other than civil engineering will be required to take undergraduate-level deficiency courses in order to gain the necessary background to meet the master’s degree prerequisites
  • Statement of objectives
  • Names and emails of three professional and/or academic references who will provide letters of recommendation
  • Unofficial transcripts from each institution attended
