Indiana University offers the online Certificate in Legal Informatics. Legal informatics applies information technology to the field of law to improve the quality and cost of client services, increase the productivity of busy attorneys and add greater efficiency to legal agencies and organizations. Legal informatics also covers topics such as intellectual property law and security. Students will be prepared to find employment in law firms, courts, law schools, non-profit organizations, regulatory agencies, and vendors that develop and sell products for the legal industry.
