Program Details

The online Certificate in Histotechnology program from Indiana University is designed for students who are already working in histology labs and wish to increase their professional knowledge in all areas of histologic technology. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Histotechnician Certification Examination HT(ASCP) administered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology's Board of Registry. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate degree from a regionally accredited college/university
  • Official transcripts
  • Have completed a combination of 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry, and 3 credit hours in math
  • Access to a qualified training laboratory
  • SAT and/or ACT scores
  • Essay
