The online Master of Education in Mathematics Education with a concentration in Secondary education is designed for master’s candidates who already teach in a secondary school but wish to improve their instructional abilities in mathematics. The program prepares educators to serve as resource teachers, coordinators, or in other leadership roles in elementary or middle school mathematics programs. Educators will gain confidence and insight into practical ways to teach math that are appealing and effective for their students and take advantage of the best and most current research for effective classroom practices at the secondary school levels. The curriculum explores everyday teaching challenges as educators learn how to work with diverse learners, test standards, and incorporate technology into the classroom.
