Masters of Arts in Criminology & Criminal Justice

Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Criminology & Criminal Justice program is designed for individuals working in the criminal justice field who want to earn the credentials to move forward in their careers.  The curriculum focuses on research and covers ethics in criminal justice, criminological theories, law and society, and law and criminal justice administration.  Graduates are prepared for doctoral studies in criminology, criminal justice, and other fields, and for careers including:

  • Administrator
  • Correctional officer supervisor
  • Criminal profiler
  • Criminologist
  • Forensic psychologist


  • Baccalaureate degree granted by a regionally accredited institution or international equivalent
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in all undergraduate coursework; OR minimum 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework, applicant's major field of study, or all courses taken at the graduate level
  • Completion of criminal justice course prerequisites
  • Statement of purpose
  • Three letters of recommendation

Students must be residing in either the United States or Canada, with the exception of U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses.
