Program Details

The Master of Science in Counseling from Hope International University is an online counseling degree that prepares students for careers as Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC).  Students will be prepared to conduct assessments in order to establish counseling goals and objectives to empower individuals to handle life situations, reduce stress, experience growth, change behavior, and make informed and rational decisions.  Integrating theory and practice, the curriculum is grounded in Christian principles.  Coursework provides research skills, theoretical teaching, practical application, and clinical training through academic studies, clinical courses, self-assessment, and professional development.  Students are trained to work with diverse populations through community-based clinical training in the real world.  All students also complete professional development hours that allow them to pursue areas of special interest, enhance their individual education, and network with clinicians in the field.
