Graduate Certificate in Project Management
Golden Gate University designed the Graduate Certificate in Project Management program to prepare students for future careers by enhancing desirable skills and knowledge in the field of project management. Students will learn topics such as conflict resolution, communication, project scope, leadership and budgeting. The courses will provide students experience in many project management areas whether it be on the local, national or international scale.
Golden Gate University is a certified PMI member as well as a PMI® Registered Education Provider, meaning the certificate program will fully prepare students for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification exam.
Instructors within the program are project management professionals, with many having years of experience. The experienced instructors ensure students are receiving a quality education with real-world application. All of the program's instructors are also certified by PMI. The program’s courses may be completed entirely online. The program also provides campus-based courses on the San Francisco campus.
Students must complete six courses for a total of 18 semester units in order to receive the certificate. Four of those six courses are: Project Management; Project Planning & Control; Project Administration, Leadership, and Team Dynamics; and The Practice of Project Management. The program offers the student the choice to complete any two, 300- to 400-level, OP prefix courses. Some 300- or 400-level OP courses the student may take are Internship: Operations Management, Operations Management, Sustainable Business Operations, Supply Chain Logistics Management, and Global Supply Chain Management.
Some of the courses may have prerequisites that need to be completed before the student can enroll. The prerequisites may be completed by transferring credit to the program or by completing courses at Golden Gate University.
