It provides the additional preparation these teachers need when helping students with disabilities in the PreK-12 setting. Learn to research and apply evidence-based pedagogy in all areas of instruction in the PreK-12 settings for diverse learners. Emphasis is placed on mild or moderate to severe disabilities. Coursework also prepares students to use technological resources as tools for instruction, to use reflective practices necessary to be effective teachers for students with diverse learning needs, and to develop school and community partnerships that lead to addressing the content in a variety of functional and academic areas.
