Program Details

The online Master of Education in Instructional Technology program prepares individuals to study how people learn and design instruction using appropriate available technology.  The curriculum is directed to the unique needs of individuals who aspire to leadership positions in the Instructional Technology field while also providing teachers, media specialists, instructional supervisors, and postsecondary personnel the skills and competence necessary to select and use technology in all its forms.  There are several options available for those seeking certification in Instructional Technology:

  • Instructional Technology Certification 
  • School Library Media Certification
  • Dual Certification
  • Add-on Certification


  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Possess a Professional Level Four Certificate or higher in a teacher, service, or leadership (for non-certification track); or MAT/GRE/GACE test scores
  • Cumulative 2.50 (4.0 scale) GPA or higher on all undergraduate and graduate work combined
  • Statement of purpose
  • Disclosure and Affirmation statements
  • School/distric leader assurance form
