The online Education Specialist in Elementary Education is designed to meet demands for teachers in grades PreK-5 as they pursue graduate preparation beyond the master’s degree. The curriculum allows students to collaborate with others, explore teacher leadership opportunities, develop leadership skills, and apply and extend content knowledge and pedagogical skills through the examination of curriculum and instruction issues and research. Students continue the development of technology skills and develop skills in using technology to impact and assess student learning while also conducting action research related to early childhood education.
Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
Possess or be eligible for a Georgia level five certificate in Elementary Education, or possess or be eligible for a Georgia Certificate of Eligibility for level five Induction Certificate in Elementary Education
3.25 or higher GPA on all graduate work attempted
