At Forsyth Technical Community College students have the opportunity to study International Business and obtain a Business Administration degree. The degree follows the same curriculum as all other Business Administration degrees do; it just has additional courses that focus solely on International Business.
The Business Administration portion puts an emphasis on the general skills students need to enter the business world. Students take classes such as: accounting, management, marketing, communications, business law, and economics, as well as general education courses. As for the International Business portion of the degree students will take classes such as: international accounting, global communications, international law, international marketing, and others. These courses will provide students with awareness on cultural persity.
Aside from those two requirements students are encouraged to solidify their communication skills by taking either Intro Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, or Oral Communication, since communication is a very important aspect in a business environment.
Overall, the program is designed to prepare inpiduals for positions in international business and provide a fundamental knowledge of international economics, law and business practices. Graduates may find themselves in variety of positions in import/export departments, freight forwarder companies, customhouse brokerage firms, international banking, state and federal government organizations, global organizations, or other internationally active businesses.

Forsyth Technical Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher education located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Founded in 1960, FTCC has eight locations throughout North Carolina and offers a multitude of academic programs. Students can earn an associate degree, participate in transfer programs, or pursue certificates and diplomas. Additionally, more than 20 programs are offered entirely online. Students earn degrees in areas such as computer information, entrepreneurship, business administration, financial services, project management technology, and many others.
