Program Details

The online Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Mathematics Education from Florida State University is designed for current educators who are looking to improve their knowledge and skills in teaching. Students take this knowledge with them to explore ideas, approaches, and technology in programs to determine their effectiveness. Online mentors are available to help students navigate the program. 

Some of the classes include, but are not limited to:

• Using history in the teaching of mathematics



Other electives in this online program can be negotiated with a program advisor. This program does not lead to teacher certification and is intended for current teachers. Classes are offered mostly asynchronously to accommodate teachers’ work schedules. By obtaining the online master’s degree in Curriculum Instruction with a concentration in Mathematics Education, graduates will be equipped with the tools necessary to effectively educate students in mathematics.
