Online Master of Science in Human Resource Management
The Master of Science in Human Resource Management is a program of study offered by Emmanuel College to interested students. This program aims to prepare its students to advance their careers in or into the human resources field. The curriculum of this program covers concepts like recruitment practices, compensation management, and labor relations. An objective of this program is to prepare students with competencies related to talent acquisition and management. Students should graduate equipped with knowledge of best business practices, interpersonal communication skills, writing skills, leadership, and presentation skills. A graduate of this program will be prepared in subject areas such as leadership, ethics, and problem resolution.
This program requires its students to complete 36 credit hours of courses in order to graduate with the Master of Science in Human Resource Management degree. The curriculum of this program covers organizational theories of behavior, organizational development, and communication, among others. The required courses include: Managing Diversity in Contemporary Organizations, Strategic Planning and Management, and Negotiation and Conflict in Management. Students enrolled in this program must also complete a capstone seminar, which should convey the skills and knowledge that the student has acquired over the course of their studies in this program. An objective of this program is to provide students with a foundational understanding of managing compensation and benefits, employment and recruitment strategies, and labor relations.
