Program Overview

Some people go through their lives not knowing what it is they want to do professionally. Thankfully though, this is not the end of their dreams for a better life for higher education. Most accredited schools have a certain amount of general education that a student must complete before seeking a degree. Students will have to attain an education in the precursors of professional education.

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges at Clinton, Muscatine, and Scott in association with Iowa Community College Online Consortium program offers an Associate of Arts degree available entirely online. Online degrees are low-cost, high flexibility options for higher education. These programs are available for students who are either unable or unwilling to attend a traditional classroom environment in order to attain a post-high school education. Students in online programs can take classes without sacrificing their professional or personal schedules in order to further their professional education.

By completing the online Associate of Arts program, students will be introduced to a variety of topics as part of a traditional Associate of Arts program, without requiring students to complete their education without selecting a curriculum path for a particular branch of study. Students in the program will study the arts and sciences, mathematics, the humanities , social studies, technology and a variety of electives and other classes to help the student choose their own path, and to improve their skills and knowledge both professionally and personally.
