Program Details

East Tennessee State University offers the Doctor of Education in Administrative Endorsement degree for professionals seeking to establish themselves as contributing members of the educational community. The program is designed for students who seek advanced knowledge and skills in educational leadership and research. The program is intended for those who are developing their credentials and their knowledge fields related to educational leadership in K-12 education, post-secondary education, and private sector education.


  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Degrees from non-accredited institutions will be evaluated on an individual basis
  • An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for domestic students, and a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for international students
  • A personal essay of 150-300 words, detailing your interests in a graduate program at ETSU
  • One official transcript from every college or university where the applicant has taken courses
