Master of Science in Criminal Justice

Program Details

The online Master of Science in Criminal Justice program prepares students to seek advancements in their professions in the field, teach on the community college level, or continue their educations in this or a closely related field.  The curriculum helps students become highly skilled and competent while remaining flexible.  You will complete core courses for the first half of the program and the second half is comprised of electives chosen to match your skills and goals. 

Core courses include:

  • Criminal Justice Principles
  • Seminar in Research Methods and Statistical Interpretation
  • Seminar in Criminal Behavior
  • Principles of Criminal Justice Administration and Management

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited academic institution
  • Overall GPA of 2.7 (4.0 scale) on all undergraduate work
  • Official transcripts
  • GRE test scores
  • Three letters of reference
  • Statement of purpose
  • Personal interview may be requested
