Program Details

The online Certificate in Medical Office Administration with a concentration in Billing and Coding program prepares students to work in physicians’ offices, hospitals, insurance companies, and other healthcare offices.  Students learn to turn the patients’ diagnosis and procedures performed on the patients into the proper alphanumeric codes, which ensures that patients are billed correctly, insurance companies receive the correct information, and providers receive the proper compensation for their work.  Courses include Medical Terminology, Medical Office Procedures, Medical Insurance & Billing, Procedure Coding, and Diagnostic Coding.
