Program Details

The Master of Arts in Religion from Concordia University is an engaging program for students looking to enrich their understanding of theology and the Bible. The curriculum is designed around people who work full time, but wish to be taught by theology professors and pastors to gain more out of their career path.


  • Provide one official, sealed transcript from each institution through which a degree was earned
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Candidates will present a cumulative grade point average above 2.85 or will have earned a master’s degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Basic courses in Lutheran studies of the Old Testament, New Testament and Lutheran Doctrine are required before full acceptance into the MAR is granted
