Cleveland State University

Program Details

The online MSN with a concentration in Clinical Nurse Leader degree program is for those RNs ready to take on leadership positions across all settings of healthcare.  In this online nursing administration degree courses focus on developing advanced skills in such areas as advocacy, education, policy and organization, supervision, delegation, and interdisciplinary teamwork.  You will also learn to use knowledge, research, and evidence-based practice to design, implement, manage, and evaluate patient care initiatives and improve outcomes for patients.

Going beyond administration and management, this program prepares students to oversee the lateral integration of care for a group of patients and to provide direct patient care in complex situations.  You will be able to change care plans for patients after evaluating patient outcomes and assessing cohort risk and will work as part of an interprofessional team by communicating, planning, and implementing care directly with other healthcare professionals.
