Program Details

The online Master of Education in Mathematics Education concentration focuses on teaching another generation the value of mathematics in their everyday lives.  Students will learn to demonstrate discipline-specific content, child development, and pedagogical content knowledge, as well as professional responsibility and ethical conduct while exhibiting respect for the cultural diversity of learners, families, colleagues, and communities.  Graduates are able to develop standards aligned goals, objectives, and learning experience plans; design appropriate assessments to measure learning; and analyze and reflect on instructional strategies, behavioral strategies, and learner progress.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Official Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
  • Current resume including work experience
  • Undergraduate minimum GPA is 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Teacher certification. Submit copy as of evidence of certification
  • Admission to provisional status may be granted at the discretion of the graduate faculty if the applicant's GPA is less than 3.0/4.0 scale
