    School Overview

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College was chartered in 1969, by the Ohio Board of Regents as Cincinnati Technical College. Today, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is a public, two-year institution of higher education. Cincinnati State operates four campuses and offers courses at a number of auxiliary locations. The school’s mission states: “Cincinnati State provides student-focused, accessible, quality technical and general education, academic transfer, experiential and co-operative education and workforce development.”

Students can enroll in distance learning associate’s degree and certificate programs through CState Online. At least six associate’s degrees, four certificates, and more than 200 courses are offered completely online. A number of other programs feature blended learning formats. eLearning at Cincinnati State is equal to that of on-campus counterparts. Students earn the same number of credits and follow a set 15-week semester. Asynchronous classes are taught by full-time and adjunct faculty, and course materials and lectures are delivered via the Internet, CD, video, or through audio media.
