Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership

Program Details

The online Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program prepares students for success at the highest levels of administration with emphases in K-12 or Higher Education as they develop in-depth knowledge and skills to transform educational institutions through theory and practice.  The K-12 Leadership emphasis prepares students to accomplish career goals as principals, superintendents, or curricular leaders through enhanced knowledge and skills in advanced research and analysis, ethical leadership, organizational cultural and change, and more.  The Higher Education Leadership emphasis prepares students to gain the credentials necessary at the university level to become presidents, deans of students, or college administrators in areas such as enrollment management, finance, alumni relations, student services, assessment, registrar, and more.


  • Requires the attendance of summer meetings
  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Three years of professional education experience
  • Official transcript(s) from all previous undergraduate and graduate coursework
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement
  • Statement of at least two activities indicating experiences, abilities, and potential for educational leadership
  • Official GRE scores
