Program Details

The Doctor of Health Administration degree is a 63-credit hour program that is cutting edge, academically sound, practice based, and flexible. Designed for leaders in the health care field, the online format, combined with six weekend seminars, provides the ultimate combination of academic rigor and practical convenience. The DHA is designed for professionals in upper leadership levels from a variety of healthcare disciplines and organizations. You will be able to work with other senior level managers who represent the entire spectrum of healthcare delivery modalities. The objectives of this applied doctorate program are directed toward preparing individuals with the theoretical foundations, applied skills and practical expertise required for leadership positions within the health care industry. The DHA degree is offered online in a cohort format. Cohorts begin each August. It is designed to be completed in 3 years but also offers a 5-year Plan for interested individuals. Coursework is conducted online but also does require travel approximately seven (7) times throughout the program to attend a mandatory orientation and six seminars, four of which are currently held on the campus of CMU in Mt. Pleasant, MI, with the remaining two seminars at selected locations (examples of seminar locations are Atlanta, Georgia, and Washington D.C.)
